Experimental Science Application and Research Center (ASRC) was established with the project supported by the Ministry of Development and is equipped with the latest technological analysis devices. Our center has an area of 2000 m2 and has been providing testing and analysis services since 2011. 1 manager, 2 deputy managers, 9 lecturers, and 7 support personnel (1 agricultural engineer, 1 technician, 1 technician, 4 civil servants) work in DEFAM.
Accreditation studies has been started in order to increase the quality and efficiency of the central research laboratory and to provide better service to our university staff, public and private sector. Our center provides testing and analysis services to our university researchers, public and private sector, at affordable prices. In our center, all kinds of chemical analysis, especially water analysis, food analysis, biological analysis and specific material analysis are performed.
Manisa is one of the important agricultural and industrial cities of the Aegean Region. ASRC aims to support the research and development (R&D) activities of the developing industry. In this context, studies have been initiated within the scope of industrial cooperation with the companies located in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone and it is aimed to expand the industrial cooperation studies over time.
In addition, agricultural products such as grapes, olives and strawberries, which are exported to our country's economy and provide significant added value, are grown in Manisa. It is planned to establish an "Accredited Food Analysis Laboratory" within ASRC for the analysis of pesticide residues (pesticides) required for the export of these products.
